Every year, the Foundation is delighted to host a Dinner for all Fellows that is held in central London or at a College in either Cambridge or Oxford.

This is an opportunity for new Fellows to meet the rest of the “family” and for existing Fellows to meet up with old friends and make new ones. The Dinner also offers Fellows a fantastic opportunity to network with peers and medical leaders and to discuss the latest challenges that they are facing in their careers.

In 2015 the Foundation celebrated its 40th Anniversary with a Ruby Dinner at the Royal College of Physicians in London. The 35th Annual Dinner took place at the new headquarters of the Academy of Medical Sciences in Portland Place; a building that originally belonged to the CIBA Foundation and where the first Foulkes Foundation Dinner was held in 1976!

At the 2017 Annual Dinner, Trustee and grandson of the Founder, Nicolas Hajdu, gave a presentation on the life and achievements of Dr. Ernest Foulkes.
Watch the presentation here.

In 2020 the Foundation celebrated its 45th Anniversary with its first ever virtual event (due to the Covid-19 pandemic). Fellows old and new, from all corners of the world, came together on Zoom for a series of talks, discussions and informal breakout sessions. We also created a ‘word cloud’ in answer to the question: Which word comes to mind when you think of the Foulkes Foundation? The result can be seen below …
